Stefani Millie Grant is associate director of external affairs and sustainability for Unilever, a food and personal care products manufacturing company. In her role, she works with brands; procurement; suppliers; and farmers to implement Unilever’s Sustainable Agriculture Code and deliver Unilever’s sustainable and regenerative sourcing goals in the U.S. and Canada. Ms. Grant also works with elected officials and non-governmental organizations on Unilever’s sustainability efforts. Ms. Grant served two terms (2016-2020) as chair of Field to Market: The Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture. The organization brings together a diverse group of grower organizations; agribusinesses; food, beverage, apparel, restaurant, and retail companies; conservation groups; universities; and public sector partners to define, measure, and advance the sustainability of food, fiber, and fuel production in the United States. From February 2020-2022, she also served as co-chair of the Midwest Row Crop Collaborative, an organization whose mission is to test and demonstrate solutions for removing barriers to adoption of good farming practices that can viably benefit the environment, using science-based approaches for systems change. Prior to working for Unilever, Ms. Grant was a vice president with Stateside Associates, a consulting firm in Arlington, Virginia, where she worked on environmental, agricultural, and conservation issues for Fortune 500 companies, trade associations, and the Department of Defense. An Iowa native, Ms. Grant holds a master of business administration degree from the University of Iowa and a bachelor of arts degree in accounting and public administration from Buena Vista University.
