Hannah Che is the author of The New York Times’ bestselling cookbook of 2022, The Vegan Chinese Kitchen, and chef and creator of Surong in Portland, Oregon, named one of the most exciting pop-ups of 2023 by Eater Portland. Her recipes and writing have been featured in publications such as The Washington Post, Epicurious, Best Health Magazine, and Saveur. Born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Che received her culinary training at the Guangzhou Vegetarian Culinary School in Guangzhou, China, and has been cooking professionally since.
