Suggested dress code for the conference is business casual attire. Conference activities involve sitting for general sessions and workshops in classrooms, walking around for receptions and tastings, and cooking with Culinary Institute of America faculty and guest chefs for workshops in the Hestan Kitchen.
Please note that flat, rubber soled, closed toe shoes and full length pants are required for conference attendees participating in the hands-on kitchen sessions in the Hestan Kitchen. Chef’s uniforms and flat, rubber-soled, closed toe shoes should be worn when you are participating in the Hands-On Kitchen Workshops. If you do not have a chef coat, we will provide an apron, and you should plan to wear long pants. Attendees are not required to bring knives for any session during this program, including the hands-on kitchen workshops. Any required tools will be provided.
Northern California often experiences mild temperatures in April, with the evenings often becoming chilly, so come prepared with layers for warmer and cooler environments so that you can adjust your own temperature accordingly.
Please help us in our efforts to be sustainable by bringing a reusable water bottle. Water stations will be available throughout the conference.
